Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat add the oats, milk and water and then add the next 3 ingredients (-salt) and simmer for 5 minutes until the oats soften, stirring. The more you stir the creamer it will be.
Step 2: Stir in dates and rose water and cook for one more minute or until the dates are warmed - this is also the time to add the optional fat (coconut oil or butter).
Step 3: Spoon into bowls and top with the ground flax seeds and drizzle with date syrup if desired.
