Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup natural bran
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 3/4 cup liquid honey
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup raisins

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine bran, oats, wheat germ, cinnamon and salt. Add milk and let stand 1/2 hour.

  • Step 2: Add honey, eggs and oil, mix well.

  • Step 3: Stir together flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to egg mixture, all at once. Stir just until moistened; add raisins. Fill large greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake in 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Step 4: *Note:Sour the milk by placing 1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice in a measuring cup and adding milk to measure 1 cup.
