Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 ounces rye bread,(2 slices)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic aioli
  • 2 ounces fontina cheese,(2 slices )
  • 4 ounces ground beef,(1 patty)
  • 1/32 teaspoons salt
  • 1/32 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons caramelized onions

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt a tablespoon of butter in a skillet. Add 2 slices of rye bread getting them buttered

  • Step 2: Spread 1 tablespoon of garlic aioli on each slice of bread.

  • Step 3: Divide Fontina cheese evenly between slices, in the center, leaving a 1/4-inch gap around the edges.

  • Step 4: Cook until golden brown, crisp and the cheese is melted.

  • Step 5: Add the onions to either side

  • Step 6: Meanwhile

  • Step 7: Season the patty on both sides with salt and pepper, to taste.

  • Step 8: Then pat it flat to be wider than the bread.

  • Step 9: Melt 1 tablespoon butter on the griddle and add patty.

  • Step 10: Cook without moving until dark brown crust forms on the outside, 4 minutes. Flip burger and cook on other side without moving until crust develops, about 4 minutes.

  • Step 11: Put on toasted melted bread

  • Step 12: Cut in half
