Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound Italian sausage meat
  • 3/4 sweet onion, sliced
  • 2 large garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1/2 cup sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweet green pepper chopped
  • Mushrooms, sliced (3 large)
  • 3 (150 grams) bread buns (crusty buns)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Divide the sausage meat in 3 equal parts and form into patties.

  • Step 2: Mix your prepared vegetables together.

  • Step 3: Lightly spray a large skillet with oil.

  • Step 4: Over high heat brown one side of the burgers.

  • Step 5: Flip the burgers and add all the vegetables to the pan, cover, lower heat to medium.

  • Step 6: Give the vegetables a stir a few times and flip the burgers once angain. Place the lid back on.

  • Step 7: Cook for approximately 15 minutes or until the burgers are cooked (internal temperature 160f).

  • Step 8: Place each burger on a bun with their share of the vegetables. Add any condiments that you like - perhaps some parmesan cheese, lettuce, sliced tomato - Enjoy.
