  • 2 cups port wine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 ounces liquid fruit pectin,(1/2 bottle)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash and sterilize the 8 ounce jam jars and lids for 5 minutes in boiling water.

  • Step 2: Leave in hot water until ready to fill

  • Step 3: In double boiler

  • Step 4: Mix the port sugar and spices

  • Step 5: Boil mixing constantly with a whisk

  • Step 6: For 2 minutes

  • Step 7: Put on direct heat and add liquid pectin

  • Step 8: Bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute

  • Step 9: Skim off foam

  • Step 10: Pour into hot jar with a metal knife in jar so you dont break jar

  • Step 11: Seal

  • Step 12: Or seal with wax cool then add lid
