Ingredients

  • 8 ounces white bread (8 slices)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 15 ounces peaches (1 can)
  • 3/4 teaspoon cornstarch (it called for 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/8 cup sugar
  • Garnish
  • 1 ounce heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Drain can of peaches and pour juice into medium size pot.

  • Step 2: Set peaches aside.

  • Step 3: Add cornstarch to juice.

  • Step 4: Whisk until cornstarch lumps are gone.

  • Step 5: Add butter, salt, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon and whisk.

  • Step 6: Let simmer for about 1 minute or until slightly thickens.

  • Step 7: Add peaches to the mixture and stir.

  • Step 8: Simmer on low while making French toast .

  • Step 9: Heat butter in skillet

  • Step 10: Combine eggs, milk and seasonings with a whisk.

  • Step 11: Drip bread in egg mixture.

  • Step 12: Fry until golden.

  • Step 13: Ladle sauce on toast.

  • Step 14: Garnish with some Redi whipped cream.

  • Step 15: Add some butter.
