  • 8 ounces cucumber
  • 2 cloves garlic ,minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut the cucumbers into quarters lengthwise and slice off the center to remove the seeds.

  • Step 2: For large cucumbers further cut the quarters into eights lengthwise.

  • Step 3: Then cut into two-inch long pieces.

  • Step 4: Add the salt and garlic then mix well. Refrigerate the cucumbers for about 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: When ready to serve

  • Step 6: Drain the salt extracted juice from the cucumber pieces and arrange on a plate. Be sure to retain the garlic.

  • Step 7: Pour the sesame oil over the cucumber and serve chilled.
