Step 1: Soak eight wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes or if using metal skewers, you will not need to do this.
Step 2: Combine the beef, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, Tabasco, oil and garlic in a bowl.
Step 3: Thread three pieces of the meat onto each skewer, putting a piece of capsicum and onion in between each piece.
Step 4: Preheat the barbecue or a char-grill plate/pan over medium heat.
Step 5: Lightly oil the barbecue and cook skewers, turning occasionally, until lightly charred (about 2-3 minutes per side),
Step 6: Sprinkle the skewers with thyme or other herb/s and serve with a green salad.
