Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces dry spaghetti
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeno chile, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese,grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the spaghetti according to package directions and drain in a colander.

  • Step 2: Saving 1/2 cup pasta water

  • Step 3: Meanwhile

  • Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a skillet.

  • Step 5: Add the onion, garlic and jalapeno and cook until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add the olive oil mixture to the pan in which the spaghetti was cooked and heat.

  • Step 7: Stir in the salt, then the cilantro.

  • Step 8: Add the spaghetti and toss with the cilantro mixture over low heat until combined

  • Step 9: Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top
