Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoons onion,minced
  • 4 cups fish stock
  • 2 cups frozen okra
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 24 ounces oysters ,shucked (3 cups),(1 1/2 pints)
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown onions in 1/8 cup butter

  • Step 2: Add fish stock and oyster juice

  • Step 3: Add tomatoes and okra

  • Step 4: Simmer 15 minutes

  • Step 5: Cut oysters into smaller pieces

  • Step 6: Add to soup

  • Step 7: Cook until form

  • Step 8: Add roux made of flour and 1/8 cup butter

  • Step 9: Add to soup gradually stirring

  • Step 10: Cook 10 minutes on simmer

  • Step 11: Season to taste
