Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 pound ground pork
  • 3 ounces white bread crumbs,(3 slices,1 1/2 cups)
  • 16 ounces light cream,(1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup onions,chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can (10 ounces condensed beef broth),(3/4 cup dont dilute)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant coffee

How to Make

  • Step 1: Soak milk in 1/2 and 1/2 (lightcream)

  • Step 2: For 5 minutes meanwhile

  • Step 3: In 1 tablespoons butter saute onions

  • Step 4: Until tender

  • Step 5: In mixing bowl

  • Step 6: Combine meats egg, milk mixture ,onion,and seasonings

  • Step 7: Beat with electric mixer until fluffy

  • Step 8: Form into 2 inch ball

  • Step 9: Mixture will be soft and sticky

  • Step 10: Heat large skill with 2 tablespoons butter

  • Step 11: And brown balls shaking skillet to keep balls round

  • Step 12: Remove cooked balls

  • Step 13: Add flour to dripping

  • Step 14: Brown

  • Step 15: Add water broth and coffee

  • Step 16: Thicken

  • Step 17: Add balls back in

  • Step 18: Simmer on low for 30 minutes

  • Step 19: Shaking occasionally

  • Step 20: Can be frozen
