Step 1: Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium high heat for 3 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove sausage and set aside.
Step 2: Heat oil in skillet, add onions and potatoes and cook until golden brown.
Step 3: Before potatoes are quite done, add chopped apple.
Step 4: Add beer, sauerkraut and mustard to skillet, mixing until blended with potatoes, etc.
Step 5: Cook over medium-high heat for a couple minutes.
Step 6: Return the sausage to the skillet, continue cooking about 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
