Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 teaspoon knox gelatin
  • 1/4 cup milk,cold
  • 1/4 cup milk,scalded
  • 1 teaspoon baking cocoa
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/32 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 egg white,beaten stiff
  • 1/3 cup water,boiling
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make

  • Step 1: Soften gelatin in cold milk

  • Step 2: Dissolve gelatin mixture in scalded milk

  • Step 3: In double boiler

  • Step 4: Boil water underneath

  • Step 5: Add sugar pinch of salt and cocoa

  • Step 6: Pour in boiling water

  • Step 7: Whisk

  • Step 8: Add gelatin mixture with egg yolk tempered in

  • Step 9: Whisk

  • Step 10: Until thickened whisking constantly

  • Step 11: Off heat

  • Step 12: Add vanilla

  • Step 13: Temper in egg white (it says to let cool first but the heat should kill bad things lol)

  • Step 14: Put in mold

  • Step 15: Chill until firm serve with whipped cream if you like
