Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces texas toast ,(12 slices)
  • 1/2 pound roasted turkey, sliced,( 6 slices)
  • 12 ounces swiss cheese,( 12 slices)
  • 1/4 cup thousand island dressing
  • 8 ounces parmesan cheese,grated
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 4 eggs,beaten
  • 2 avocados,ripe,sliced thin
  • 2 roma tomatoes,sliced thin

How to Make

  • Step 1: Have fresh grated parmesan cheese and place on a flat tray.

  • Step 2: Beat eggs and place in a large wide bowl for dipping.

  • Step 3: Try to have bread stale.(I would dip in egg here and then assemble)

  • Step 4: Arrange all ingredients for assembly.

  • Step 5: Brush Thousand Island dressing on one side of each piece of bread.

  • Step 6: Place 1 Swiss cheese slice on the dressing.

  • Step 7: Place the turkey over one side of Swiss cheese.

  • Step 8: Put some tomato and avocados on either side

  • Step 9: Put sandwich together.

  • Step 10: Take the sandwich and dip in the egg mixture, ensuring that it stays together.

  • Step 11: Place the moist sandwich on the flat tray of parmesan cheese grated.

  • Step 12: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 13: Melt butter in a sauté pan

  • Step 14: Place the sandwich in the butter, ensuring the sandwich stays together.

  • Step 15: Press gently.

  • Step 16: Grill on low to medium heat until the cheese is golden brown.

  • Step 17: Flip the sandwich and repeat the last step.

  • Step 18: The sandwich will not be cooked thoroughly so, place browned sandwich on a sheet tray and bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes.

  • Step 19: Remove from oven when the cheese is oozy

  • Step 20: Take the finished sandwich and slice in half.
