How to Make

  • Step 1: Whisk dry ingredients

  • Step 2: Add boiling water

  • Step 3: Mix until combined

  • Step 4: Heat bacon grease in skillet

  • Step 7: Wetting your hands in cold water, shape into patties by forming a ball with about 3 tablespoons of the mixture and then flattening it into a 1/2-inch patty with your fingers.

  • Step 8: Fry the patties in the hot grease in small batches, turning often until golden on both sides.

  • Step 9: Remove from the grease and drain on paper towels.
