  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper,grated
  • 1/4 cup onion ,grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup onions,chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper,chopped
  • 1 clove garlic,smashed
  • 2 cups tomatoes,chopped
  • 1 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown the shortening and flour until a deep brown stirring constantly

  • Step 2: Add onion and bell pepper until wilted

  • Step 3: Add garlic

  • Step 4: Add milk

  • Step 5: Add tomatoes

  • Step 6: Season to taste

  • Step 7: Cook 10 minutes

  • Step 8: Meanwhile

  • Step 9: Mix all meatloaf ingredients and put in a casserole dish big enough to pour sauce over

  • Step 10: Pour sauce over

  • Step 11: Bake for 60 minutes at 350 degrees
