Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Rye mix:
  • 3 cups rye flour
  • 1/2 cup dry powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoons caraway seeds
  • 1 tablespoons dill seeds
  • 1 ounce yeast
  • Honey mix:
  • 3 cups water,warm
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Flour:
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the honey mix to 115 degrees Fahrenheit

  • Step 2: Mix the rye mix in very large bowl

  • Step 3: Pour the honey mixture over rye mixture

  • Step 4: Mix add flour one cup at a time

  • Step 5: Add flour until dough gets stiff

  • Step 6: Knead

  • Step 7: Put in a greased covered bowl let rise until double

  • Step 8: 60 minutes

  • Step 9: Punch down

  • Step 10: Divide in half and let rest 30 minutes covered with warm wet towel again

  • Step 11: Punch down and put into 3 greased (they said 2 loafs but this is alot of flour)9x5x3 bread pans maybe 4

  • Step 12: Let rise until doubled

  • Step 13: Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees (no temperature given)
