Step 1: Preheat oven at 325 degrees F.
Step 2: Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks until light and lemon-colored.
Step 4: Blend into creamed mixture.
Step 5: Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and resift 3 times.
Step 6: Add sifted ingredients to creamed mixture in thirds, alternating with milk. Beat the batter thoroughly after each addition.
Step 7: Add vanilla extract, lemon rind and lemon juice and beat 2 minutes.
Step 8: Bake in greased 10-inch Bundt pan in preheated oven at 325 degrees F for 1 hour(or in 9 inch layer pans (3?) at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes.
