The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 pound dried chipped beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms,sliced
  • 2 cans (21 ounces)condensed cream of mushroom soup,(10 3/4-ounce each)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 ounces white bread,toasted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauté beef and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  • Step 2: Combine soup with milk and stir until smooth and thoroughly blended.

  • Step 3: Stir soup mixture and Worcestershire into beef mixture.

  • Step 4: Season with pepper to taste.

  • Step 5: Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle with toasted almonds if your adding ,again why?
