Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups carrots, shredded
  • 2 1/2 cups broccoli florets, chopped fine
  • 2 1/2 cups green beans, minced
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar (can use less)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 16 ounces heavy cream (2 cups)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil 4 sweet potatoes until tender. Remove skin.

  • Step 2: Cut into large cubes.

  • Step 3: Put into saucepan, then add: diced carrots (matchstick size), broccoli, string beans, mushrooms and brown sugar (I would start with a tablespoon) and butter.

  • Step 4: And the water and simmer until veggies are softened.

  • Step 5: Add the cream until hot, don't boil.
