Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Cake:
Step 3: Break eggs into mixer bowl.
Step 4: Add sugar, flour and salt
Step 5: Mix well.
Step 6: Add vanilla extract, pineapple and walnuts; mix well.
Step 7: Grease and flour an 11 x 17-inch pan.
Step 8: Add baking soda to mixture and pour into pan.
Step 9: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes
Step 10: Cool completely before icing.
Step 11: Cream Cheese Icing:
Step 12: Melt margarine.
Step 13: Put margarine, cream cheese and Cool Whip in bowl; mix well.
Step 14: Add nuts.
Step 15: Add sugar and mix well.
Step 16: Pour over cake.
Step 17: Refrigerate cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
