Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda, (add last)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can ( 20 ounces)crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed walnuts
  • Icing:
  • 8 ounces whipped topping
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Cake:

  • Step 3: Break eggs into mixer bowl.

  • Step 4: Add sugar, flour and salt

  • Step 5: Mix well.

  • Step 6: Add vanilla extract, pineapple and walnuts; mix well.

  • Step 7: Grease and flour an 11 x 17-inch pan.

  • Step 8: Add baking soda to mixture and pour into pan.

  • Step 9: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes

  • Step 10: Cool completely before icing.

  • Step 11: Cream Cheese Icing:

  • Step 12: Melt margarine.

  • Step 13: Put margarine, cream cheese and Cool Whip in bowl; mix well.

  • Step 14: Add nuts.

  • Step 15: Add sugar and mix well.

  • Step 16: Pour over cake.

  • Step 17: Refrigerate cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
