Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces bacon, diced,(4 slices)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork chops, 1-inch thick,(4)
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 2 apples, peeled , coarsely chopped
  • 1 jar(28 ounces )sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 teaspoon grainy mustard
  • ½ teaspoon caraway seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 pound red potatoes
  • 2 carrots,chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat bacon until crisp

  • Step 2: Take out

  • Step 3: Add oil

  • Step 4: Add chops that you have seasoned

  • Step 5: Brown

  • Step 6: Remove add onions caramelize

  • Step 7: Add sauerkraut and mustard and caraway seeds

  • Step 8: Season

  • Step 9: Mix together in the pan

  • Step 10: Add water, chops, carrots and potatoes on top

  • Step 11: Cover

  • Step 12: And simmer for 30 minutes adding more water as need so it doesnt burn

  • Step 13: Right before serving add bacon back in to sauerkraut
