Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pound whole chicken
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 2 cups carrots, chopped
  • 1 apple, peeled,chopped
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • 1 package (16 ounce) frozen egg noodles

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place chicken in kettle with water.

  • Step 2: Cover and cook over medium to low heat until tender (about 3 hours).

  • Step 3: Remove chicken from kettle and strain broth.

  • Step 4: Debone chicken and return to kettle with strained broth.

  • Step 5: Add broth ,celery, carrots, apple, onions, and pepper and cook until vegetables are tender.

  • Step 6: Add noodles and cook 8-10 minutes until floating
