Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 ounces tuna, undrained (1 can)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Cheese Roll Topping
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Filling
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 2 ounces pimiento, chopped (1 jar)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees .

  • Step 2: Put butter in skillet.

  • Step 3: Add onion and bell pepper and simmer on low until browned.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile (I might make this first) sift dry ingredients together for biscuits.

  • Step 5: Cut in shortening.

  • Step 6: Add milk.

  • Step 7: Roll out to 8" x 12"

  • Step 8: Sprinkle on cheese, then pimientos.

  • Step 9: Roll like a jelly roll.

  • Step 10: Meanwhile back to the sauce.

  • Step 11: Add flour and seasonings.

  • Step 12: Add tuna, milk and lemon juice.

  • Step 13: When thickened, pour into pie plate or casserole.

  • Step 14: Top with the rolls you've cut.

  • Step 15: Bake 30 minutes until browned.
