Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 ounces evaporated milk (1 can)
  • 5 ounces white bread, (5 slices )
  • 3/4 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/3 cup ketchup

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, pour milk over bread and let stand until milk is absorbed; (make sure you rinse out can with a little water).

  • Step 2: Add onion, salt, and pepper to taste.

  • Step 3: Stir with fork until bread softens and is light and fluffy.

  • Step 4: Mix in ground beef.

  • Step 5: Shape meat mixture into a loaf.

  • Step 6: Place in a lightly greased baking loaf pan.

  • Step 7: Spread top with ketchup .

  • Step 8: Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
