The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds venison roast
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup onion,minced
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 pound mushrooms,sliced
  • 1 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 can (15 ounces ) tomato puree
  • 16 ounces sour cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut roast into 2x1/2 inch strips

  • Step 2: And marinate meat with the juice of the lemon and oil and pepper in ziploc bag for 10 minutes

  • Step 3: Meanwhile

  • Step 4: Fry onion in butter until caramelized in cast iron skillet

  • Step 5: Remove

  • Step 6: Add meat

  • Step 7: Brown

  • Step 8: Add mushrooms

  • Step 9: Brown

  • Step 10: Add tomato puree and onions back in

  • Step 11: Mix flour and salt into sour cream

  • Step 12: And add to meat

  • Step 13: Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened
