  • 1 roast (2 pounds) beef chuck
  • 1/3 cup honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 tablespoon gingerroot, grated (or minced or 1 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
  • 1 package (12.6 ounces) tortillas (corn tortillas, 8 inch)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Get out a slow cooker. Place everything in it, with the roast on top. Cook for 6 to 8 hours on low setting.

  • Step 2: When the roast is finished cooking, shred with two forks. Serve on two tortillas per person to make a taco.
