Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • FOR MUSHROOMS & ONIONS
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced (med onion)
  • 6 ounces mushrooms, sliced (fresh, 3/4 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Prepare Mushrooms and Onions (below). Set aside.

  • Step 2: Mix ground beef, onion, water, salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.

  • Step 4: Grill patties about 4 inches from medium coals 7 to 8 minutes on each side for medium, turning once, until desired doneness.

  • Step 5: Prepare Mushrooms and Onions:

  • Step 6: Cook onion and mushrooms in butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onions and mushrooms are tender. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.

  • Step 7: Serve over burgers.
