  • 1 1/2 beef stew meat
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic,smashed
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons pepper
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can(7 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 pounds red potatoes,chopped
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 ounces heavy cream (1/4 cup)
  • 3 tablespoons dill,minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In stockpot

  • Step 2: Heat oil and butter

  • Step 3: Brown beef and onions

  • Step 4: Add garlic at end

  • Step 5: Add seasonings

  • Step 6: Add broth ,tomato sauce and water

  • Step 7: Simmer 2 1/2 hours until beef is tender

  • Step 8: Add potatoes submerged cook for 25 more minutes until potatoes are tender

  • Step 9: Last 5 minutes stir the cornstarch into cream and cook until thickened

  • Step 10: Stir in dillweed
