Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 10 ounce French bread loaf (this is 1 baguette)
  • 10 ounces avocado (ripe, peeled, pitted and sliced into 1/2 inch thick slices, this is 2 avocados)
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 pounds tomatoes, sliced (sliced 1/2 inch thick, salted, this is about 3 large beefsteak tomatoes)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a food processor combine the first 3 ingredients (mayo - garlic) and process until smooth. Cut baguette lengthwise and spread with the dressing.

  • Step 2: Toss avocado slices with the lime juice, salt and pepper. Spread avocado slices on the bottom of the french bread and then layer the tomatoes over the avocado slices.

  • Step 3: Close sandwich and cut into 4 equal portions.
