  • The following recipe serves 4 people.

Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil, plus 1 tablespoon extra
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 400 grams minute steaks (4 x 100 grams minute steak)
  • 240 grams bread rolls, (4 bread rolls split)
  • 80 grams rocket leaves
  • 1 tomato, large sliced
  • Oven fries, to serve (optional)
  • SAUCE:-
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large frying pan, heat oil on medium and fry onion 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden, remove from pan and set aside.

  • Step 2: To make sauce, combine all ingredients and season to taste.

  • Step 3: Heat pan on high and brush steaks with extra oil, season and sear 1 minute each side, remove from pan and rest, covered with foil, 2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Fill rolls with rocket, tomato and steaks and top with onions and sauce and serve with fries, if desired.

  • Step 5: NOTES - Horseradish cream can be replaced with mustard or sweet chilli sauce if preferred. Remove steaks from fridge 10 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
