  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 3 pounds yukon gold potatoes,chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1/4 cup horseradish,grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chives,minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bring water to a boil add salt

  • Step 2: Add potatoes

  • Step 3: Boil 25 minutes until done

  • Step 4: Save 1/2 cup potato water

  • Step 5: Drain

  • Step 6: Add butter to hot potatoes

  • Step 7: Season

  • Step 8: In bowl mix sour cream, horseradish and chives

  • Step 9: Mash potatoes

  • Step 10: Add sour cream mixture

  • Step 11: Mash

  • Step 12: Add just enough water to make creamy

  • Step 13: Check for seasonings
