Step 1: In a large bowl
Step 2: Combine beaten egg, milk, brown sugar, rosewater, ginger, nutmeg, and salt.
Step 3: Stir in bread cubes and currants.
Step 4: Turn into a greased 8 x 1 1/2-inch round baking dish.
Step 5: Bake, covered, at 350° degrees until knife inserted half way between center and edge comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
Step 6: Spoon the hot Sack Sauce over hot pudding.
Step 7: Sauce :
Step 8: Melt butter in a small sauce pan over a low heat.
Step 9: Stir continuously until butter starts to brown, remove from heat.
Step 10: Add brown sugar, stir until dissolved. Add dry sherry, lemon juice and grated lemon peel.
Step 11: Serve immediately.
