Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup of bulgur
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 cup chopped tomato, can use canned, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups broth of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • Parsley for garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet with a tight fitting lid,and cook onion for three minutes. Add garlic stir an additional minute, then add bulgur and let it brown slightly.

  • Step 2: Add the broth and bring to a boil

  • Step 3: Turn heat on low add the remaining ingredients except parsley, cover and let cook 25 minutes or until water is absorbed.

  • Step 4: Let it sit covered 10 minutes and fluff with fork, garnish with parsley.
