  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar (can use more)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup raisins (or chocolate chips)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a large baking sheet.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl beat butter with next 4 ingredients until well combined. In another bowl combine oatmeal, whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; add to dry ingredients, mix until combined. Stir in raisins.

  • Step 3: Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes
