Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (20 ounce)artichoke hearts,drained
  • 1 pound crabmeat,picked over for shells
  • ½ pound fresh mushrooms, sliced ,sauteed
  • Sauce:
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 ½ tablespoons flour
  • 16 ounces heavy cream,(1 cup)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup dry sherry
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika ,to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 375 degrees.

  • Step 2: Place artichoke hearts in bottom of 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

  • Step 3: Spread a layer of the crabmeat.

  • Step 4: Add a layer of the sautéed mushrooms.

  • Step 5: Meanwhile

  • Step 6: Melt butter in a saucepan.

  • Step 7: Add flour, cream, salt, Worcestershire sauce, sherry, paprika, cayenne and pepper.

  • Step 8: Whisk well after each addition to form a smooth sauce.

  • Step 9: Pour over artichoke-crab layer and sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top.

  • Step 10: Bake 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly
