Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil (toasted)
  • 12 ounces ground pork
  • 3/4 cup onion, finely chopped (white onion)
  • 3/4 cup green onions (chopped, divided)
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang sauce
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 17.6 ounces cooked brown rice (two 8.8 ounce packages of precooked brown rice)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 lime wedges

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oil in a large skillet over high. Add the pork and cook for 5 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble.

  • Step 2: Add the white onion, 1/4 cup green onions, and garlic; cook 4 more minutes.

  • Step 3: Add 1/3 cup water and cook 1 minute, scraping the pan to loosen the browned bits. Remove from heat; stir in the remaining 1/2 cup green onions, gochujang, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

  • Step 4: Heat the rice according to the package directions.

  • Step 5: Place 1/2 cup pork mixture and 3/4 cup rice in each of 4 bowls. Top with cilantro, vinegar, and lime wedge.
