Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons dry onion soup mix,(1 envelope)
  • 1 can (12 ounces) gingerale
  • 1 pound carrots,chopped
  • 2 cups onions,chopped
  • 3 pounds beef brisket

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F

  • Step 2: Place the brisket in a roasting pan fat side up.

  • Step 3: In a bowl

  • Step 4: Stir together the ketchup, soup mix and ginger ale

  • Step 5: Pour over the brisket.

  • Step 6: Arrange carrots and onion around the roast

  • Step 7: Cover the roast with aluminum foil.

  • Step 8: Bake for 2 hours in the preheated oven. Remove the cover, and cook for 1 more hour.

  • Step 9: Let stand for a few minutes before slicing on bias and serving.
