The ingredients are:
  • 1 jar (28 ounces) sauerkraut
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1/2 cup red pepper, diced
  • 1 carrot, coarsely grated
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoons parsley,minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Drain sauerkraut in a sieve over a bowl. Measure ½ cup of liquid and reserve.

  • Step 2: Put the drained sauerkraut into a large bowl.

  • Step 3: Mix in sugar.

  • Step 4: Let sit about 15 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add ½ cup reserved sauerkraut liquid and oil.

  • Step 6: Add rest of ingredients and put in fridge overnight
