The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes ,peeled
  • 6 cups water,boiling
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar,packed
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 1/3 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup bourban

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil the potatoes in jacket until almost done

  • Step 2: Take out of water peel and roughly chop

  • Step 3: Use 2 tablespoons to butter a 9x13 casserole pan

  • Step 4: Add the potatoes

  • Step 5: Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  • Step 6: In saucepan

  • Step 7: Mix rest of butter ,molasses ,brown sugar and apple juice

  • Step 8: Heat until bubbly

  • Step 9: Take off heat

  • Step 10: Add bourbon

  • Step 11: Pour over potatoes

  • Step 12: Bake for 40 minutes gently stir potatoes occasionally

  • Step 13: Potatoes are done when syrupy
