Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3/4 pound ahi
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon hichimi (Japanese 7-powder seasoning)
  • Oil, for searing
  • Daikon, shredded
  • Carrot, shredded
  • Cucumber, sliced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut fish into 8 x 1 1/2 x 3/4-inch rectangular pieces.

  • Step 2: Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, wasabi, and hichimi.

  • Step 3: Add fish and marinate for 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Heat a skillet over high heat; brush lightly with oil.

  • Step 5: Sear fish for 4 seconds on each side.

  • Step 6: Slice and place on bed of shredded vegetables.

  • Step 7: Serve immediately.
