Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound potatoes (sliced 1/8 thin, 4 large potatoes)
  • 1 onion (halved & sliced, large onion)
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauté onions in one tablespoon butter until slightly caramelized

  • Step 2: Remove onions and off heat let second tablespoon of butter to melt

  • Step 3: Lay a single layer of potato in the tan then a layer of onion then cheese. Repeat layering

  • Step 4: Keep enough cheese to add halfway through baking time

  • Step 5: Return pan to medium heat until they start to brown halfway up the side about 7-10 minutes

  • Step 6: Add the milk and place in a 375 oven for 30 minutes

  • Step 7: Add the rest of the cheese on top and cook another fifteen minutes
