Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Step 3: Warm the oil in a small skillet over low heat, add the onions and peppers
Step 4: Sauté until they are soft , about 7 minutes. Set aside.
Step 5: In a large bowl
Step 6: Beat the eggs
Step 7: Mix in the beef and then the bread crumbs,onions and bell peppers.
Step 8: Add the horseradish, dry mustard, milk and 1⁄4 cup of the barbecue sauce and lightly combine until just mixed.
Step 9: Shape the mixture into a loaf pan.
Step 10: Place the bacon slice lengthwise on top, and then spread the remaining 1⁄2 cup barbecue sauce over the loaf.
Step 11: Bake for roughly 50 minutes,
Step 12: Let the loaf rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes
