Step 1: In a 3-quart sauce pot
Step 2: Melt margarine.
Step 3: Add flour
Step 4: Stir
Step 5: Add onion & garlic powders, and corn syrup. Simmer 1 minute.
Step 6: Do NOT brown.
Step 7: Add white pepper, salt
Step 8: Stir
Step 9: Add chicken broth, water, and vegetables.
Step 10: Simmer 3 minutes.
Step 11: Add half-and-half.
Step 12: Simmer until desired consistency.
Step 13: Stir constantly – do NOT bring to boil.
Step 14: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
