Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 cup onions,chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers,chopped
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen country-style shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups cornflakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 375°F.

  • Step 2: Spray 3-quart casserole with cooking spray.

  • Step 3: In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 3 minutes, stirring to crumble.

  • Step 4: Add onions and peppers.

  • Step 5: Cook 5 minutes longer or until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender.

  • Step 6: Season

  • Step 7: Place mixture in large bowl.

  • Step 8: Add hash browns, 11/2 cups of the cheese, the sour cream and soup

  • Step 9: Stir to coat.

  • Step 10: Spoon mixture into casserole.

  • Step 11: Add cornflakes if using

  • Step 12: Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.

  • Step 13: Bake uncovered 50 minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
