  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • Glaze:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven 350

  • Step 2: Cream butter and shortening

  • Step 3: Add sugar add eggs

  • Step 4: Sift dry ingredients

  • Step 6: Add vanilla to milk

  • Step 7: Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture

  • Step 8: Alternatively with milk

  • Step 9: Pour into a greased springform pan

  • Step 10: Bake 60 minutes until done

  • Step 11: Let cool 10 minutes

  • Step 12: Heat the orange juice and sugar in microwave just until sugar dissolves

  • Step 13: Pour over cake
