Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Cake:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/16 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup water,boiling
  • Hot fudge sauce:
  • 1 package (12 ounces)chocolate chips
  • 1 box (16 ounces )powdered sugar, (3 1/2 cups )
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • Ice cream :
  • 1 package (16 ounces) vanilla ice cream
  • 1 can (8 ounces )whipped cream
  • 12 maraschino cherries

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cake

  • Step 2: Cream butter and sugar.

  • Step 3: Add cocoa and eggs, then flour and remaining ingredients in order given. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

  • Step 4: Sauce

  • Step 5: Melt chocolate chips and butter in double boiler over hot water.

  • Step 6: Add sugar and milk alternately, stirring constantly.

  • Step 7: Add vanilla.

  • Step 8: Cook 4 or 5 minutes until thick.

  • Step 9: Slice cake in squares;

  • Step 10: Split in half.

  • Step 11: Fill with square of vanilla ice cream; top with hot sauce.

  • Step 12: Add whipped cream and a cherry
