Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 ounces Swiss cheese (2 slices)
  • 1 ounce ham (thin sliced deli ham, 2-3 slices)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded stemmed 1 inch slices
  • 64 ounces rye bread (2 slices)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 2: On one slice of bread, place one slice of cheese. Top with ham and jalapeno pepper slices. Place second slice on top of meat/cheese pile then top with the other bread slice.

  • Step 3: Lightly butter both sides of the sandwich before carefully placing it in the skillet.

  • Step 4: Grill until cheese is melted and bread appears golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.

  • Step 5: Slice crosswise and serve immediately.
