Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 100 grams chicken Twisties
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 kilogram chicken drumsticks (8 drumsticks specified)
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves chopped
  • Salt, tot taste
  • Pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place Twisties in a food processor and process until chopped finely, resembling coarse breadcrumbs. Place panko breadcrumbs on a plate, then add crushed Twisties, garlic powder and paprika and mix to combine.

  • Step 2: Place flour on a plate and season with salt and pepper and whisk egg and milk in a shallow bowl.

  • Step 3: Toss 1 piece of chicken in flour to coat and then dip in the egg mixture, then toss in breadcrumbs, pressing to secure and place onto a plate and repeat with remaining chicken and then refrigerate for 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan-forced.

  • Step 5: Line an oven tray with baking paper.

  • Step 6: Arrange chicken in a single layer on prepared tray and spray all over with oil spray and bake, turning once, for 45 minutes or until golden and chicken is cooked through.

  • Step 7: Serve chicken sprinkled with thyme leaves.
