Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2: Cook bacon in skillet until crisp.
Step 3: Remove from drippings and set aside.
Step 4: Saute the onions in the bacon drippings until lightly browned.
Step 5: Stir the sauerkraut into the drippings and onion and add the apples.
Step 6: Pour in the wine and stock and bake for 30 minutes.
Step 7: Crumble the bacon and add the sugar and celery seed.
Step 8: Bake for another half hour and serve.
